Gas Turbines

Siting, permitting, and development of natural gas power projects, including Natural Gas Combined-Cycle (NGCC), Simple Cycle Peakers (“peakers”), or syngas power (IGCC), pose a unique set of permitting challenges and require a comprehensive study of environmental issues including air quality, cooling alternatives, water resources, and noise.

E & E has extensive power plant permitting experience and a multidisciplinary mix of key staff and subject matter experts who specialize in all aspects of development, generation, and transmission.  We are experienced with evaluating all aspects of natural gas power generation projects, including the key impact areas of air emissions and cooling water intake and discharge.

We bring a comprehensive knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations and processes for energy development and permitting to each project we work on.  Our experience teaches us that the environmental assessment process is both a mechanism to identify project impacts and, through our comprehensive public outreach programs, an opportunity to illustrate project benefits and build support.
