Air Quality Evaluation and Health Study, Kuwait

For the Kuwait Environment Public Authority, E & E set up and operated air monitoring stations at 20 locations in and around the southern Kuwaiti town of Umm Al Hayman, which is downwind from industrial and petrochemical facilities.  We also measured temperature, wind speed, humidity, barometric pressure, and other atmospheric factors.  E & E staff trained client personnel on the use of the sampling pumps and the various air and atmospheric monitoring equipment used in the project.  We evaluated the data against Kuwaiti, United States, and international (World Health Organization) health-based standards and demonstrated that the measured contaminant levels were below the standards.
