Hudson River PCB Cleanup, New York

E & E is providing overall project management, community involvement, site investigation, facility siting, quality-of-life performance standards development, data management, and preparing remedial designs for the EPA-required dredging action of PCB contamination on the historic Hudson River.

The area to be dredged includes nearly 500 acres of contaminated river bottom and over 2.6 million cubic yards of sediment.  The effort includes construction of sediment processing facilities and water treatment plants on a scale similar to those required for a small city, installation of extensive barge and rail loading facilities to transport the sediment to the disposal facilities, and development/use of innovative dredging techniques.  We operate and staff an EPA public participation office in Fort Edward, New York.
