Itumbiara-Cuiabá 500-kV Transmission Line, Brazil

The 500-kV Itumbiara-Cuiabá Transmission Line extends for 506 miles and crosses 22 municipalities in the states of Goiás and Mato Grosso, and the region is a source of large archaeological sites of interest.  E & E prepared the corresponding EIS/EIA; the preliminary license was issues four months later.  We then developed 12 environmental plans and programs structured on an environmental management system involving the supervision and control of the work, clearance of the ROW, and monitoring of the environmental and socioeconomic compensation programs.
