NYSDEC Standby Contract
NYSDEC has awarded E & E a total of $101 million under five overlapping standby programs since 1990. The initial two successive, multiyear, $15-million standby service contracts (1990-2006) entailed the full range of hazardous waste site services including preliminary site assessment, site inspection, immediate investigation work assignment, remedial investigation/feasibility study (RI/FS), interim remedial measure (IRM), remedial design (RD), remedial action (RA), construction management (CM), post-construction and operation and maintenance (O&M) support, and community relations support. Starting in 2005 and extending through 2012, the engineering program has been divided into two additional, $7-million standby contracts: one for site investigation/design, and the other for design/construction. For the fifth and newest program, NYSDEC has reconsolidated the engineering services scope of work in a single, $50-million contract.
