Pipeline

Pipeline

In a competitive market, meeting in-service schedules is more important than ever, and E & E understands that this represents significant savings to our clients. We apply our experience on some 50,000 miles of pipeline systems, many of which went to construction in environments ranging from the Arctic to the tropics, to lead industry and government in the full range of environmental services. We develop streamlined permitting processes and work efficiently to integrate regulatory requirements and environmental and social mitigation into pipeline design and construction.

Projects

Fatal Flaw Analysis and Permitting for CO2 Transmission Pipeline, California
For a confidential client, prepared a fatal flaw analysis; maintained schedule and project budget; developed a permitting strategy for a CO2 transmission pipeline and laterals to collect the CO2 from sources such as cement manufacturers; and evaluated air permit requirements for compressor stations and potential need for emission reduction credits. Overall project goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Kern River Pipeline Expansion, California, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming
Pioneered FERC's expedited review process expanding four compressor stations and loop for an 800-mile pipeline crossing four states. Prepared ERs, obtained fast-track permits, monitored sensitive species during construction, and continue to provide ongoing restoration monitoring.

Northern Lights Pipeline, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin
Prepared the FERC third-party EA for 73 miles of pipeline extensions and looping, about 5 miles of new Greenfield pipeline, and construction of aboveground facilities.

Columbia Gas Pipeline Integrity Management, Virginia and Maryland
Providing technical assistance, agency consultation, and permitting support to Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation, a NiSource company, for activities associated with pipeline integrity management.

Trans-Alaska Pipeline, Alaska
Provided design review, federal permit support, construction monitoring, oil spill contingency plan review and development, and post construction restoration for the Trans-Alaska Pipeline.

Mariscal Sucre Gas Production, Storage, and Transportation System, Paria Peninsula, Venezuela
For the complex Mariscal Sucre Project in northeastern Venezuela, which includes a pipeline from onshore gas production facilities to a marine terminal, managed the environmental, sociocultural, and health impact assessment (ESHIA) process according to natural gas industry best practices, expectations of stakeholders, and PDVSA's policies on sustainable development.
