Water Resources Engineering

Aging infrastructure threatens the reliability of water supply, flood protection, and stormwater management in many communities across the United States. Now, more than ever, engineering solutions must meet multiple purposes. E & E designs solutions to meet the unique, site-specific needs of each client.

Projects

Power Generating Facility Water Availability Analysis, Colorado
Analyzed different water cooling methods to develop several approaches for using less water at coal-burning power plant.

Flood Event Hydrologic/Hydraulic Analysis, New Mexico
Using HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS software to simulate a specific flood event, demonstrated that client's upstream actions did not increase the likelihood or magnitude of flooding in the watershed.

Flood Control Structure Design, Florida
Provided engineering services in the areas of water supply conservation/development, water quality protection/improvement, mitigation of flood and drought impacts, and natural resource preservation/restoration throughout Florida’s 16 counties from Orlando through the Florida Keys.  Conducted extensive modeling to support the design of water conveyance and storage structures.
